Your documents
RevisionProof compares documents entirely in your web browser. The files you choose are read by code running on your own device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We don't store them, and they're gone when you close the tab.
The compare page is served with a Content Security Policy that blocks it from making any network requests, so it can't send your documents anywhere. You can confirm this in your browser's developer tools.
What we collect
We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking on this site, and we don't ask you to create an account. If you activate a Pro licence, it's remembered in your browser's local storage (see below).
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information when your browser requests a page (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Payments
Pro plans are sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They receive the details you enter at checkout, such as your name, email and payment information, and handle billing and tax. We receive your email and licence details so we can provide the service. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
Licence activation
When you activate a Pro licence on the activation page, that page sends your licence key and a device label (for example "Windows browser") to Lemon Squeezy to check it, and re-checks it about once a week. The result is saved in your browser's local storage so the comparer can unlock Pro offline. No document content is ever part of this, and the compare page itself still cannot make network requests.
Changes
If we change how data is handled, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
